Hi! I’m Gabriela Cárdenas, an Industrial Design Engineer based in Costa Rica, with a Master’s in Project Management and Agile Methodologies and a passion for connecting design, strategy, and human insight. My journey began with a love for understanding how people interact with the world around them — how thoughtful design can make life a little easier, more beautiful, and more meaningful.

Along the way, I complemented my background with technical degrees in Web and Graphic Design, and during the pandemic, I deepened my skills through certifications in UX and UI Design. I spent over eight years at Samtec, designing and implementing interactive web experiences using HTML, CSS, and SASS, and later joined Cargill as a UX/UI Designer, where I expanded my expertise in user research and digital product design.

Today, I’m a CX/UX Designer at Microsoft, where I bring together research, systems thinking, and creativity to shape experiences that are both functional and emotionally resonant. This year, I’m beginning a new chapter by pursuing a Master’s in Design Strategy and Innovation, continuing my journey to explore how thoughtful design can drive meaningful change across products, organizations, and communities.
